Ranch-Style Team Penning and Sorting Practice - Not the blazing, cattle-scattering, run your horse out of breath style of highly competitive jackpot penning. Instead, this will be a place where horsemanship and stockmanship come first and penning cattle is simply the "job" to do to help teach our horses the good stuff. Plenty of fun, lots of help offered, even if you have never had your horse around cattle you can come on over and find out how to get going in this activity. Ranch penning and sorting are two separate competitions and they are done here with the idea of having a good time, building better horses and horsepeople and to be fun for everyone. Come on out to participate or just to watch, you will be glad you did.

"Beginning Ranch Roping" Clinic with Bob Sagely - Newbies and experienced ropers alike are all welcome. Come learn the vaquero traditions of the long rope and quiet, humane cattle work. Inexperienced ropers, folks who want to learn how to get their horses started on roping or those folks with experience roping who want to learn how to throw lots of different fancy loops with the long rope are welcome. Come learn the vaquero traditions of the reata style of roping and bridle horsemanship. Train yourself and learn how to train your horse to do authentic cow work. There will not be live cattle at this clinic as it is an introduction to ranch roping and we'll have plenty to do for about five hours without them.
